The Rocket League World Championship in Düsseldorf, Germany is almost here. It's the biggest, and most prestigious, Rocket League tournament on the planet. Over ten days of competition, 24 teams from around the globe will battle for their chance to raise the Rocket League World Championship trophy and claim the title of Rocket League World Champions.

Before we make our way to Germany, read on to find all the information you’ll need to know ahead of the event!

What's the Rocket League World Championship?

The Rocket League World Championship is the most esteemed Rocket League tournament in the world and completes the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season. It's held in two distinct phases. The first is the Wildcard Stage (August 3-6), where 16 teams from all over the world will compete for their chance at playing in the Main Event.

The Main Event (August 8-13) is the final leg of the World Championship, where eight teams that qualify from the Wildcard will join eight auto-qualified teams. Those 16 teams will compete in a Double-Elimination Group Stage, and the eight advancing teams will compete in a high stakes Single-Elimination Bracket. The winner will be crowned Rocket League World Champions!

Qualified Teams

Everything has led to this moment. Thousands of teams from around the world fought hard throughout the RLCS 2022-23 Season, but only 24 persevered to qualify for the Rocket League World Championship. You can find the 16 Wildcard teams and eight auto-qualified Main Event teams below:

Format, Broadcast, and Schedule

The World Championship Wildcard is a 16-team, Swiss Bracket competition, where a team always plays against another team of the same win-loss record. In the Swiss Stage, the magic number is three. Win three matches to move on to the Main Event, or lose three matches and pack your bags for home.

For the World Championship Main Event, 16 teams will compete in two Double Elimination Groups with eight teams per group. If you win twice, you advance to the Playoff Bracket! Lose twice, and you’re eliminated. The top four teams from each group will advance to the final eight-team, Single-Elimination Bracket. The team that goes all the way in that bracket will emerge victorious as Rocket League World Champions!

During the Rocket League World Championship, there will be a Main Stream on the Rocket League Twitch Channel, the Rocket League Esports YouTube Channel, the Rocket League TikTok Channel, and an alternate stream on the Rocket League Esports Twitch Channel on each day of the Wildcard. There will be no alternate stream for the Main Event.
